What this tool does

Provides an indicative view of hydrogen production cost using standard levelised-cost logic. It is designed for comparing options, testing sensitivities, and pressure-testing headline assumptions before deeper modelling.

When to use it

Use it for concept screening, early commercial discussions, and internal option comparison. Do not use it as a substitute for vendor quotes, dispatch modelling, or a financing model prepared for investment approval.

Key assumptions

Financial basis uses project lifetime and discount rate inputs to reflect an indicative capital recovery view.
Production basis assumes steady annual operation at the selected utilisation and specific electricity consumption.
Operating cost basis includes electricity, water, fixed O&M, variable O&M, and periodic stack replacement.
Default values are starter assumptions for fast screening, not recommended design values for every project.

Results interpretation

The result is most sensitive to electricity price, utilisation, electrolyser CAPEX, and replacement assumptions. Use the output to compare concepts and prepare sharper follow-up questions, not to issue a final project value.
